Our midweek getaway

Warning: This post is very detailed and wordy. I just don't wanna forget any bit of it!

This year our goal is to do something cool/fun/different every month. January... well, we started in February. It was our anniversary month-3 years!- and we had a quiet weekend at home eating the most delicious pizza ever to grace our tastebuds. The next week Blake took a couple days leave and we headed up to Tulsa. Tulsa is to Oklahoma City what Robin is to me-the hippy sister.
We started our road trip jazzed and excited and took pictures sitting outside our apartment building. It was gorgeous.

We realized how much of a pair of homebodies we were when all we wanted to do was stay home and watch NCIS and eat some more Old Chicago pizza. Even as we turned onto the main street on the way to the freeway we we tossing the idea of ditching the concert for home back and forth. Oy vey.

Blake's lens popped out and this is the look he gave me.

We fired up Moses, our GPS, and instructed him to take us to our hotel and avoid all toll roads. This combination took us through the backroads of Oklahoma. We drove on approximately 8 different state roads and through many tiny towns. Everything was dead, but during the summer with all the trees lining the road, I'm sure it's gorgeous. On our way we passed about 4 dead skunks. Shtankay! One of our conversations was about Blake never actually trying any kind of olive black olives from a can. He promised me that the next time an opportunity came up for him to try one he would, but I couldn't facilitate the situation.

We arrived at our hotel and immediately turned out of the parking lot and headed to Jason's Deli for lunch. I didn't get my usual mushroom mufflata and had another sandwich. Delicious! Aaaaannnnddd it had sour olives in it! Blake wasn't too happy that the opportunity had arisen so quickly. He tried the olive and I proceeded to laugh historically at his face, while he tried to play it cool. Any situation where Blake is uncomfortable like that=my joy. We were both blissfully happy. Especially when the cashier told us that there was free ice cream cones. I had my first cone in...over two years! It was wonderful!

It was getting close to 6 so we decided to drive to Cain's Ballroom and stand in line. We were able to park in the street for free. It is important to note that our car was parked about 8 feet from the line of emos and hipsters there for the concert. We hopped in line and after about 15 minutes Blake said he was going to the car to get his jacket. So I stood by myself. And waited. And listened to the guy behind me complain that his ear gauges were metal and reacting to the cold air. And waited. And got smoke blown in my face. And waited. No Blake. He finally came back sans jacket. I gave him a puzzled look. He whispered in my ear that he squeezed into the backseat of the car and found an old water bottle and peed in it! In daylight with a million goths wandering around him! Oy. We stood in line for a little over an hour and cuddled. Yay for PDA!

They finally opened the doors and we went into the ballroom and went up to the front/side so I could avoid the inevitable mosh pits. And like Granpy McBlake and Granny McJoce, we put bright orange ear foamies in our ears. It was pure relief. The concert. Mindflow, Crown the Empire, We Came as Romans, and finally the Used. With each passing band people got drunker and enjoyed the music more and we got more and more squished. Then people started moshing. My nightmare. I felt like Elaine on the subway, standing calmly and cool-faced whilst screaming in my head. By The Used I was practically bosom buddies with the large Mexican man in front of me, the chunky underage emo on my right, the skinny smoker to my left, and Blake against my back. And the lead singer kept telling people to mosh! I don't understand the point of moshing. Drunk, pent up angry guys shoving people randomly as hard as they can against other people. You get shoved one way, and they shoved the other way. At one point the singer divided the room down the middle and told everyone, in the very packed room, to make the gap 10 feet wide. There was literally people pressed against all sides of me and I couldn't help but think that sweat is pretty much pee coming out of a person's skin. And then he told everyone to run at each other. After that situation calmed down we were able to jump around and actually enjoy the rest of the concert. Me and Blake had a perfect view of the door to the backstage so we saw the bands coming in and out and they would come out and stand by us to watch the other bands. I felt very fancy and roadie-like. Even though I'm writing mostly about the awkwardness, it was awesome.

When the Used ended their set I was sooo relieved. I was thirsty and my legs were stems of jello. I turned to go and saw everyone was still standing there! Apparently the band always plays and encore. It was then that I decided that I'm almost too old for these situations. When the concert was over we walked to the car and sat in it and people-watched while we waited for the traffic to clear. Blake was jiggling because he had to pee again. All we had were my kombucha glasses that I reuse and his already full plastic one. I finally told him to take his pee and dump it out so he could reuse the bottle. He poured it out in the weeds by the sidewalk, positive that everyone was watching him do it. He came back into the car and I told him one of the emos had said something to his friend about that 'guy pouring out his pee by the sidewalk.' I thought Blake was going to leak in surprise and I laughed and told him I was lying. He gave me a dirty look and climbed in the back seat. A few seconds later I heard: Psssssss--*curse*--pss--*curse curse*--ps-*curse CURSE*--ssssst. And then, "It washed back over my hands and on my pants!" Imagine me laughing uncontrollably throughout this situation. I handed him some napkins he had rolled his eyes at me saving from lunch. We finally headed back to the hotel and went to McDonalds for some fries for me and a sandwich for Blake. It was the only thing open at midnight, we had no choice. We checked into our hotel and to my utter delight we got a room with a patio! We are hotel snobs and each new luxury we discover we suddenly cannot go without the next time we check into a hotel. It's getting expensive. We ate our food in bed. I realized why we don't do this at home as I found fry and bread crumbs in the sheets the next morning. We went down to their breakfast room and everything was delicious. I had pancakes, hot chocolate, OJ, and a cinnamon roll. Blake had, and I wrote this down because I was so astounded, two pancakes, two sausage patties, one omelette, one muffin, two glasses of oj, one hot chocolate, one orange, one banana, one boiled egg, one biscuit with gravy, and a yogurt! We ate two hours later. During this meal we were listening to the hotel lady talking to the couple next to us. It was one of those awkward conversations where there is pretty much one speaker and she is telling about all her troubles and life-story. She finally said, "Oh! But you're on vacation, I won't bother you with my troubles." The couple, being nice, said, "Oh it's fine." And she proceeded to keep going on about her troubles. Me and Blake were just praying that she would keep her prey to the other couple and not spot us.

We checked out and Blake thew his pee away and we wandered around a mall. We went to Forever 21 and I always check the mens section. Blake was just protesting that he would never buy anything for himself at that store when he suddenly found a lightweight jacket and fell in love. Mmmmhmmm! We put a restaurant in our GPS and headed towards it. Suddenly we passed Costa Vida and then suddenly we were making a u-turn. Burritos? I think so. They were huge and delicious!

We decided it was time to head home so we could unwind and watch our NCIS. We drove home a different road that was almost a straight shot to home, only required on freeway switch. It was the best road trip we've had. We were both in high spirits and completely enjoying each other's company. We laughed soooo much. The only downside were the skunks we passed on the way back. Approximately 8! The only good thing, and this cracked me up every time, was that the a/c was on Blake but not me, so he'd groan every time he'd smell a skunk so I'd be able to bury my face into my sweater before I smelled it. I did catch a couple at first, but skunk-detecter-McBlake sniffed out the rest for me. =D It was definitely one of the best Valentine's Days ever!

Almost four years ago...

Blake was snooping-yes, literally snooping- through my laptop when he found some old cell phone files. This one from Braydon's 16th birthday makes me laugh because it illustrates mine and Brayd's relationship perfectly. Pestering each other while our parents put up with us. Except this one was in the back of the van rather than sitting in church! I guess I'm nostalgic for the little punk. At ages 23 and 19 our relationship is still pretty much like this video. At age 93 and 89, our relationship will still probably be like this. At least I hope so because we have lots of fun!

Phone Dump

So I've had this post filled with pictures in my drafts forever. These are cop-out posts so I don't know why it's been plaguing me to write this. The cell phone dump post. The first shot is put in specifically for my dearest Adam. Perhaps I should make a post specifically of pictures of Blake in my clothes. I'm sure I could find some that haven't made it to this blog.

This is the way Blake has eaten his sandwiches lately. Apparently he likes his food pretty. My favorite part is the string cheese strategically placed on each half.

The pic below is just because he's cute with a fresh haircut. And I love his sour face. I know I'm bad when it comes to blog PDA. But can ya blame me?? My mumsy once told me, "So-and-so aren't as lovey-dove as SOME couples are." Me and the Blake being the "some" couple. Hehe.

This needs no words really. Except the disclaimer that it is unique and NONE match it. NONE!! SO I DON'T WANNA SEE THEM!!!!!

This is when I saw my baby bro in October. He is now in New York!! Waaaaahhhh! I can't believe he is so grown up.

While I was down I actually ate a hamburger. Two actually. I got greedy and ordered another one before I was finished with the first one. I felt like I had stomach rot afterwards.

I tried taking some brighter pics with Braydon while I was down, but I was smiling weird-trying to get my thin little bird lips to look a little plumper, so I look a little drunk, and we have a good up-the-nose shot of my baby brother.

I used my curlers that I ordered aeons ago.

Loved the results. And have never used them again. Ha.

I made fried green tomatoes after watching the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. I found them... tolerable.

I drew this picture of Blake zoning out playing his Xbox. He later added my words. This is our life.

My sista knitted me this amaz-za-zing infinity scarf. Scarves are the ONE thing I like about winter.

This picture below makes me laugh EVERY time I see it. This is what he does when he gets cold, wraps himself completely in my throw. Blake says those hearts of love were stitched by my mother for him. He is wrong! Right, Mom? You love ME best??

Poor cold face.

This was my day-after-Thanksgiving outfit. We went to Best Buy and stood in line forever to buy some Dr Dre Beats headphones. When we got to the register I realized I could buy them from Amazon for *cough* no tax. So we bought the hot fries I had picked up from standing in the line instead.

Our day-after-Thanksgiving cyber sales included these A7X tees. I had to beg Blake to let me copy him. But we all know he secretly enjoys matching his wifey. It reminds him of our first date to Sadies.

We (Blake) hung up our Christmas lights on our patio. It was very festive.

When my headphones arrived (a Christmas present), we stared at the box and then each other and immediately decided we like instant gratification more. So we opened all the Christmas packages as they came. We both enjoyed my headphones.

And this is my sauerkraut as it got all packed and ready to ferment. I had such hopes.

And, lastly, I had to end my post like I started it. With Blake's and my tribute to Adam. Hint: Those aren't mickey mouse ears!

Our week in review

This is what the last weekish has looked like:

1 Blake bit into a baby carrot and found a ROCK inside. Mere days later I felt my back molar and found a chunk missing. I don't know how Blake did it. He showed his coworkers a picture and they suggested I fix it with superglue (but I think I must have swallowed the missing piece) or I file it down to make my tooth even (good idea, those three years aligning my bite with braces don't matter). There exclamation that they love to use is, "Goooooo!" I don't even know.

2 I also heard the voice Blake uses when he tells people what I say. I think it was an accident on his part, but now he's been caught. It's high-pitched and kinda ditzy voice. Ex-squeeze me?? He knows he's in trouble. Alas I have trouble executing his punishments. He has a way of worming his way out of trouble. Dernnit.

3 The giant jar of sauerkraut I fermented for a month, making our apartment smell like there was a pile of vomit hidden somewhere under the couch, was harvested and put in the fridge after much dry-heaving at the smell. I finally got brave enough to try some only to find strange white sludge growing all over it. 8 jars of 'kraut going down the sink. On the same day I tasted some pickled cherries I bottled and again dry-heaved into the sink and had to dump all 7 bottles into the trash. It was a painful day for simple living.

4 Blake went to his first physical therapy appointment where he actually physical-ed his therapy. He brought home this wonderful foam roller with the instructions to roll on it for thirty seconds six times every day. It's wonderful. I had wanted a rumble roller a few moons back and am immensely glad I never bought one. I believe the rumbles would have made me jump out of my skin. Blake is doing physical therapy for his shoulder which pops and hurts when he moves it certain ways. His therapist thinks he has tendonitis and a kitten arm. Ok, it's me that thinks it's a kitten arm, haha. So that's what he's doing two times a week for a month.

5 We found a wonderful Mediterranean cafe that, if I were so inclined, I could WALK to! I've always felt lost on those days when I'm carless and hankering for a falafel sandwich. No more! The first time we went I sat down hard in a booth and the cushiony board part slid out and suddenly I was about eye-level with the table. Blake was the only witness to my shame. When we went there again *ahemtwodayslaterahem* I learned from my mistake and sat in another booth. Obviously my brain does not fit the voice Blake has made for me...

6 We fell off the P90X wagon. Ok, that was more than this week ago. We were doing excellent and were sore 99.9% of our lives for that time. And then it just… stopped. Blake got the bathroom ills and I have a hard time working out if I know Blake isn't going to feel the pain also later that day. So we're starting up again. Perhaps after I recover from my broken tooth.

7 We paid off our car. Now that it's ours we don't know what to do with it. Lower the insurance? Do we dare? Get a title with our names on it? That would require walking to the mailbox in the freezing air and filling out phantom forms. So right now we feel a bit like we did when we had to buy it with Blake's daddy's co-signing. Like naive kiddos.

8 And finally, I finished my duvet I started approximately a year ago. I am very pleased with myself and find myself running my hands over it at night before I fall asleep. As I was putting it onto our white comforter I noticed the side that goes close to our faces and cringed. It's almost orange. I never wear makeup to bed and Blake only does occasionally so I have no idea how it turned this color.

The thing that gets me through all this is knowing my husband is very cute. It pleases me and makes all the strange things pale in comparison.

Messin' Around

I whipped out the ol' Canon and took some actual pictures today. Ones that weren't taken with a cellphone! It's amazing! I invited Blake along and he said it was his favorite kind of photoshoot--one in PJ's that stays on the bed!

MORE Crap Blake Says

The above picture is from couple pics we took at a park we've been wanting to visit forever. We finally pulled ourselves together enough to go take some pictures there. Right as we got there and set up, a car full of men parked by ours. We watched them as they sat there and drank and talked. When we finally decided to go home, after several other gangster-like cars drove past, one of the men grabbed a cigarette and walked to the tree right by our car and started whizzing on its trunk. Blake is scarred for life and we have decided to never return to that park again. Welcome to Oklahoma City. Or, as my sister calls it, the slum of the midwest.

So, of course I have collected some more nuggets of Blakeage that I had to share with my family. He's a goon and I love him.

*To the tune of Spongebob* "Ohhhhhhhhh, there once was a Blaken who had a booty" *BLAKEN BOOTY!* "It was small and cute and very stinky" *BLAKEN BOOTY* "His Jocelyn didn't know what to do. She said, 'Blake! You smell like a poo!" *Blaken booty…*

"I'm puppy McBlake! Arf arf!"

Me: "That was a wet little kiss." Blake: "That's because it was a lick."

Me: "Mchoovensen is your evil alter-ego." Blake: "Well I love you. Mchoovensen only tolerates you."

Me: "You read a whole chapter??" B: "No, just finished one… it's taken me a couple days because it's always like, 'Oh! Jocelyn needs attention from the Blake!'"

B: *While listening to a song* "This song is like you! You want her, but she's so mean!"

*Gave him a cookie and got my own. He ate his and asked for a bite of mine. I gave him one. B: "Give me another bite. Aka: that cookie."

B: *Mumble mumble* J: You made your bum sneeze??! B: No! I made my gums bleed!

"Are you writing that down for your 'Crap Blake Says' post?"

*Talking about me being half black* J: "Which of my parents is black?" B: "Your mom of course! She's so gangster!"

*Looking at Blake's tuberculosis test shot, I give him a kiss* J: "Oh no! I might get an sTB!" B: "You didn't get a sexually transmitted Blaken! Otherwise you'd be pregnant."

*As we're leaving a store* B: "I've been crop dusting the whole store."

"Feel my pa-*voice cracks*-in."

*I was putting kale into the stir fry* "Hissssssssssss"

*Talking about how easy our relationship is* "Every day is a struggle." "Hey!" "You don't know what kind of struggle." "Oh. What kind?" "A struggle to keep my hands off you!"

*Giving me my morning hug* "You smell like sweat… And shame."

Me: "I'm gonna make us both green smoothies tomorrow." B: "Hissssssss."

*While doing p90x yoga he looks at me and grimaces* "Hurts my pee-noose."

Calls Mnm's "En-uh-mems"

B: *Mumble mumble* J: "You want horse legs??" B: I want porcelains!"

*Me, sitting quietly, reading. Blake suddenly leans over and bites my shoulder. Bites like he wants to salt and deep-fry my ligaments.* Me: "Ow!" B: "LOVE ME!"

Blake's Revenge

Reading my blog, some may think that Blake is a poor victim of his alpha/vegetarian/pants-wearing wifey. That Blake, the cartoon-watching, eyelash-batting, sweet-talker of a man simply exists in a sweet cloud of joy that is blackened only by my dark thunder. Alas, this is not the case. I have compiled a few examples in the past months…

He takes his devilish victories wherever he can get them. Like pestering me to buy pop when we grocery shop. Sometimes I'll give in if he bats his eyelashes just right. He knows he has to share though. :) The stipulation used to be it could only be sprite or root beer (because no caffeine). He chose root beer and got the Barqs brand. It was only when we got home that he told me, with evil satisfaction, that, outside Utah, Barqs is caffeinated. He quietly kept this bit of information to himself because he wanted the little buzz when he drank it and he knew he'd get to drink the bottle himself.

One morning, I was sleeping, happily dreaming of the delicious meals I would cook for Blake, the scrubbing I would do on his underroos, and the pampering I would bestow on that same Blake. All of a sudden, I opened my eyes and a red explosion burst before my eyes! Blake had punched me in the nose! I literally saw his big fist with the wedding ring I had bought for him flying at my face! Perhaps my nose didn't swell up and bleed like Blake's lip did when… *cough* never mind. But my world was shattered, even when Blake made up some lame excuse that he was dreaming of hitting a button. With the word "Jocelyn" on it. Hmmm.

Many nights ago, after watching a House episode on our computer, we turned off the lights to leave the room. Blake scampered like a rat to the hallway and crouched in the darkness waiting for me to pass by. I turned on the light and caught him there. He was so cute I had to laugh and bend over to kiss him. Aren't I sweet? I also took the opportunity to fill my tongue with saliva and scrape it over the bottom of his nostrils to fill them with spit. I couldn't NOT take that opportunity! He then proceeded to grab me and wipe his nose all over my shirt. I would call that revenge.

He wasn't done!
He then pinned me to the floor and commenced slowly licking up my cheek and then licking across my forehead in big, soaked licks. I was screaming and making crying noises at this point.

Then he grabbed my hands and summoned the rest of the spit residing in his head and licked my left palm and then my right.

Finally, Blake, the Ultimate Tormenter, ignoring my shrieking and violated gurgles, slapped my hands to my face and rubbed. Sicknast! He then left me there in the hallway. I was a ghost of the happy girl I once was. The smell of decaying and drying spit started to fill the air and all I could do was lay there and watch as he stood there with a twisted smile on his face.

And of course there's his new habit of waking me from my slumber in the middle of the night with the most violent of snores out of nowhere. They literally jolt me awake while he remains (somehow) snoozing soundly. And yet he'll yank me from my slumber if I smack my lips a few times, all indignant that I had gently roused him.

I was peacefully sleeping one morning when I felt a rustling right by me. I laid there for a minute and felt kind of strange. I opened my eyes and Blake was like two inches from my face with an evil grin on his face. I shrieked into consciousness.

Sometimes I'll go into the bathroom to pee, right after I sit down Blake will unlock and open the door a crack. Despite my screaming and cussing, he'll stay to chat or pester me by putting his fingers under the door.

I'll be showering and he'll turn on the faucet. I'll yell at him (because I know what's about to happen) and he'll toss a handful of cold water over me.

Or I'll turn around, mid-soap, in the shower, and see him peering evilly into the shower at me, trying to scare me. It always works.

We have a fan over our bed and we argue who has to pull the light chain before bed. Sometimes when I have to stand up to do this-it's on Blake's side of the bed and you have to stand on the bed to get to the fan-I'll turn off the light and Blake'll jump up and goose and tickle me when I'm most vulnerable.

Blake'll be showering and I'll need to pee, so I'll run in and tell/threaten him not to look. He looks. *Sigh* He didn't used to. Last time it happened he said, "I saw the relief on your face."

I make my own facial toner that has vinegar in it. Blake about dies every time I put it on my face. So we made a deal that I would make a different toner if he would stop being so breezy around me. *Smelly tooter* It's been a difficult road for him to adjust to being civilized, and unfortunately, even though I have kept my end of the bargain, he has difficulty keeping the air clean.

The times when we buy a dozen doughnuts at the fantasmic Krispy Kreme. We will get a variety and share the doughnuts to try them all. When he gives me bites, I'll take normal-sized bites so as not to hog the filling. *Angel* When he goes for a bite, it's monster-sized, right in the middle, AND he sucks up tons of the filling! *Devil*

I just wanted to be sure that my family realized the truth. The original Scott family must know what I am writing about. The real Blake.

What We've Been Up To

The Blake had his 22nd birthday. For his dinner he chose ribs. I admit, I did tell him to smear a little sauce on his face for the picture and he enjoyed doing that immensely. Tastes better if you eat like a pig. Especially if you're eating a pig. Ew.

He had molten chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert and licked his plate clean. He was a happy Blake.

We had been walking around Best Buy when we saw this amazing keyboard. Dragging ourselves away, we went home and researched it and decided it was a good deal. A few days later Blake pestered me to go pick it up... even though it was his birthday... and the keyboard was more for me. What a sweet goon. So we got it and Blake lugged it up the stairs, and now we have an amazing keyboard. Blake has yet to tickle the keys, but we are gonna change that. Eventually.

We also popped over to Utah for a couple weeks. Popped, as in, my back. We made it all the way to Flagstaff the first day and stopped at a Little America hotel. The next day we went on a walk on their nature trail and ate a delicious breakfast. A breakfast so delicious I decided I wasn't vegan anymore haha. The trip was pretty great. We picked cherries and I bottled a bunch of them. We ate at In n Out a million times. Got new phones. It was fabulous. And, of course, got to see family. That's always a perk.

Below is Blake in Utah. We haven't decided if he is more appealing in Utah air or Oklahoma air.

The trip back to OK was gorgeous... after we got through most of the trip. As usual we had to stop about a million times to let Blake empty his pea-sized bladder because he drank too much. But that's a rant for another day. :)

After hours and hours and another hotel room later, we were about 100 miles from home. And then it got a little darker in the sky and then it started raining. And the sky got black. And there was a funnel-shaped cloud to our right. And Jocelyn started freaking out. And Blake insisted on not pulling over. Even though he couldn't see ANYTHING.

And Jocelyn was sure we were going to die. And was irritated that cell phone pics were not clearly illustrating the direness of the situation. Anyways, after much gnashing of teeth, we made it through that horrible storm and it washed all of Arizona's bug splat off our car. Silver lining.

During the storm, Blake had to pee. Of course. Since there was no way we were going to stop (him) because we would get sucked up in a tornado (me), we got a water bottle and, well, it was taken care of. I made him stop at the dumpster and get rid of it before we got home.

We got home and it was sunny and beautiful. We opened the door to our apartment and Rufus was there waiting for us. He didn't even poop on the carpet! What a good doggie! Right after this picture was taken, however, jealous McBlake promptly stood up and kicked poor Ruffy across the room! I had to hit him in the nose with a magazine.

That night we ate random food that we found in our freezer. I was just happy to eat my orange chikin that I had been craving the whole trip.

Fast forward several weeks later, we finished off our first jar of jam. I went to open a new jar and found MOLD. Every single jar of jam had mold in it. Thankfully the pickled cherries and the pie cherries sealed properly, but... waaaaaaaah!

A couple weeks later Blake ordered himself a new game. It was scheduled to arrive while he was at work and he pestered me into sending him a picture of it when it got there.  It arrived and I felt like Blake needed a little excitement in his life. So I found an old cd and broke it and sent him this picture. He was a sad Blake. And a little rant-y. I didn't torture him for too long though, and I told him the truth.

Perhaps it was because of this that Blake decided to leave the country. I just don't know. His sergeant told him he would leave on August 26th to do a tail swap in the UAE. Stopping in Spain and Greece and Maine! What a lucky punk! Well, a weekish later, Blake sent me a text saying that his sergeant had been a little dense (that is what I was thinking) and he wasn't leaving the next month, he was leaving in two days! We packed him full of snacks and I begrudgingly took him to the base.

I enjoyed being a bachelorette for that week. I had many meals like the one below. Chick food.

I took this picture the day before Blake left so if I were on the couch I could look through my phone screen and see Blake peeping at me. How tender. I didn't actually do this, but I knew I could.

Blake sent me several pictures... but I can't find them in my email. Needless to say, Chanai Greece, where he spent most of his time, was GORGEOUS! I was very green with envy. He did bring me home a fancy scarf and a dress so I guess things were good between us. :)

I spent several full days canning tomato juice, salsa, crushed tomatoes, and some more jam. I spent so many hours on my feet I got several charlie horses.  But hearing the popping of sealing jars was worth it.

Other than those two bigger events, life has been full of our usual things. Like eating delicious treats.

Below is our peanut butter chocolate crunch banana "nice"cream cookie treat we can't get enough of. Words. Cannot. Describe. The. Deliciousness.

I made a lovely kale salad with some chikin for my lunch one day. It was so much chewing that the next two days I had muscle fatigue in my jaw. It was nuts.

We did the Insanity workout together. It wasn't as awkward as I was imagining. But after we were done, Blake melted into this sweaty puddle on the floor. Poor guy. He was pretty pathetic the rest of the night.

Me, being sexy, whitening my teeth with activated charcoal.

Blake made a cake. I don't know if it was because he made it so it didn't stay on my radar, or what... but I turned on the oven and *sniffle* melted the lid onto it! I was so very sad! We were able to save Blake's cake and he ate a little more... until I decided to make zucchini chips... and his cake got baked for a third time.

I grew a beard, which Blake was thrilled with/majorly jealous of.

And if you ever wonder if I exaggerate Blake's licking/being pestyness, the below picture proves it is no exaggeration. I was sitting at the desk, writing down recipes, and he kept sucking and licking on my toes! After I had been outside in Toms! Ick! And then he forced kisses on me with his toe mouth.

And I just had to take a picture of the booty that I see every time he gets into bed before me. He'll be reading in that position every time.

And finally, for you're viewing pleasure, a typical day at home with Blake. In my pink skinny jeans.

What a stud.
